My passion for hospitality was born from my enthusiasm to travel and discover new cultures, mixed with energy to build unique and responsible businesses. Luxury hospitality offers a rich field where you learn from a variety of specialities including culinary, spa and wellness, strategy, marketing, revenue growth, as well as rooms management. I truly enjoy engaging and interacting with customers, creating bespoke experiences that will ultimately, leave a “lasting memory”.
Additionally, leading CSR changes have always been important from “Terry Fox Runs” at Four Seasons, to the sustainability focus implemented by Mandarin Oriental.
I built my career in some of the world’s most celebrated luxury hotels in international gateway cities and resorts. Results driven, with a proven record of building strong teams, I had a distinctive chance to open six luxury hotels and rebrand another, working in exciting cultural destinations such as London, Miami, Tokyo, Barcelona and Costa Navarino.
These exceptional experiences allowed me to create a diverse network, build strong collaborative strategic partnerships, as well as develop successful communication with different stakeholders. On the other hand, as a result of having lived in many countries, I had exposure to protests in Barcelona, hurricanes in Miami, typhoons in Japan, general strikes in Buenos Aires and most recently the COVID crisis, building an expertise in crisis management and organizational development / change management.
There are four pillars I follow as a leader: 1) you must develop a strategic framework based on strong business acumen and in-depth market analysis;and 2) forge trust by being an architect enabler of talent, which will foster a strong collaborative team. 3) The drive is to “keep moving forward” and challenging the “status quo”. 4) You must remain humble, relentlessly seeking to learn from mistakes and growing yourself on the way.
In December 2020, I graduated from the Executive MBA at IE Business School, one of the Top MBA’s in the world with triple certification. The MBA is especially strong in entrepreneurship, innovation and agility, which are key drivers for the businesses of tomorrow.
